Where to Eat

St Mawgan Village Stores & Tea Rooms & Gardens

Set in the heart of the village you will find the Tea Rooms which serve the best Cornish Cream Tea for miles. Here you can pick your own grapes when in season with the proceeds going to local charities. St Mawgan Village Stores and Tea Rooms is also home to Roger’s Jams and Preserves. These are made by Roger on the premises to his own recipes, Roger also supplies local hotels and restaurants including Jamie Oliver’s restaurant FIFTEEN at Watergate Bay.

The Falcon Inn, St Mawgan

When visiting St Mawgan you will see the Falcon Inn just opposite the church and is renowned locally for the quality of it’s food. As you would expect the pub is at the centre of village life, there is a nice garden and a games room, often during the summer months you will see local brass bands, choirs, Morris Dancers and other similar entertainment.

A relatively new venture for the Falcon in is their take-away Fish and Chips a delicious meal from £5.95.

The Merrymoor Inn, Mawgan Porth

Overlooking Mawgan Porth beach the Merrymoor Inn is in an enviable position. This family run public house offers a range of local ales and fresh, home cooked meals at reasonable prices along with the traditional carvery. The garden terrace overlooks the beach and has a playground for young children. A very popular with visitors and locals alike.

The Riviera Café & Fish & Chip Shop, Mawgan Porth

Situated next to the River Menahyl opposite Mawgan Porth beach the café is open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. The Fish & Chip Shop serves the traditional take away fish and chip meal and much more…

The Smugglers Inn, St Mawgan

The Smugglers Inn (formerly the Airways Hotel) is near the Airport. Open for light lunches and evening meals.

The Phoenix Inn, Watergate Bay

Aside from the regular meals the Phoenix also make pizzas to eat in or take away. The roof terrace offers lovely views across Watergate Bay. They often have live entertainment on and this is a very popular pub among the surfing community.

Jamie Oliver’s “15”, Watergate Bay

Overlooking Watergate Bay Beach is Jamie Oliver’s “15” restaurant. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner booking is highly recommended and can be booked online. “15” restaurant sources the freshest seasonal and local produce for the amazing dining experience in the stunning surroundings.

The Travellers Rest, Trevarrian

This is located in the small hamlet at the top of Mawgan Porth. Serving St Austell Ales and fresh cooked mouth-watering meals this pub is one to try. It has a children’s play along with tables, chairs and patio heaters which allow for an outdoor dining experience.


Fire Bistro/Restaurant, Mawgan Porth

Fire is opposite the main entrance to Mawgan Porth Beach. The food is typical of restaurant meals and more in line with this price range.
