What did the AA say ?
AS part of our annual inspection (at which we again acheived 4 pennants and increased our 'scores') the inspector commented ""I received a very friendly welcome at Reception, before I carried out my inspection. This is a 7-acre site set on one side of a valley, with views to the other side over beautiful trees. There are 34 statics, which are well positioned so as not to obscure the view, and the touring field had a great location at the bottom of the site. The toilets/showers are very modern and spotlessly clean, as is the dishwashing area and laundry. There is a fantastic Information Room in the form of a wooden summerhouse, with every piece of information needed. For the children there is a top class playground with a newly installed play train and towers, in addition to all the usual equipment, and a lovely TV room with large screen TV. Much thought and a lot of hard work has been put into this site, even down to a campers’ kitchen with microwave etc, a library and Internet access is also available. The grasses and trees were beautifully trimmed, and all in all I enjoyed my walk around this lovely site. Well done to Stephen & Helen.""

Pay by Instalments
In 2010 we ran a succesful trial of "pay by instalments". If this would help your budgeting you can pay for your summer holiday with a series of bank transfers which we will credit against the holiday cost. Under this payment plan, if the instalments are equal and regular & start no later than March, we would also consider bringing the final due date forward to 4 weeks before the holiday, as opposed to the current six.

Playtime in 2011
The promised play train has stared and will hopefully be finished for school holidays on april 9th which along with the 2 towers, (with 4 platforms, 2 slides, 2 rock-climbs, a log ladder, a clatter bridge, a monkey bridge,a firemans pole and 2 "dens) " should be enough to tire the most energetic of our younger visitors. .

The French doors open for the first customers on our new caravans
The new caravans have been a great success. With french doors on the end the "lawnsides" (nos 14 and 15) face West to the setting sun and have steps down to the outdoor seating, whilst the grand court opens out onto a raised terrace with garden furniture and a staircase down to the lawns. Both are booking fast for 2011 and have encouraged us to commit to more new vans in 2012.

Free transport for "Senior Citizens" from our gate
Did you know; as many of our early-season regulars do; that your local bus pass is valid in Cornwall ? The Newquay-Padstow bus that runs past our gate will take you to either padstow or Newquay (and onwards from there) at no charge if you remember to bring your OAP's bus pass with you. UPDATE - due to governmental devolution this applies to English bus passes only - Scotish & Welsh passes are not accepted - free travel is limited to off peak times - between the hours of 09:30 and 23:00 -as well as throughout the day on Bank Holidays and at the weekend. .

So who Won the holidays in 2011 ?
Each year we run a avriety of "lucky draws" that result in someone winning a free holiday on our parks in Cornwall - camping and caravan. This year congratulations to Mr & Mrs Denyer of Hertfordshire who won the week from out suggestions draw and Mrs Baxter who won a weeks camping for simply submitting suggestions forms at reception. There was no photography competition in 2010, but it had been reinstated for 2011 due to customer requests. The standard of submitted pictures in 2010 was superb and we are very glad that we didn't have to make the decision.
